5Mail carriers with sore feet, BUY these!  Jul 08, 2011 By R. Hadley "japan1"
I deliver mail on a large walking route & the "ball" of my foot would ache terribly. These pads were amazing at eliminating the pressure points on the ball of my feet. I tried every brand, & these were the best over all. I could not recommened more.

5Spenco RX Bal of Foot, Medium  Mar 06, 2011 By Maria DeSanto
I love this product. I can put them in any shoe and they stay put. No sliding. I have Morton's Neuroma and I like the gel covered with a material that doesn't slip. I have several pairs.

4These will do the trick!!  Oct 17, 2011 By EmAmelia
I bought these to try in a pair of REALLY high heels. Normally I can't wear heels because of the pain they cause in the ball of my feet. As soon as I put my foot in the shoe and started walking around with them I could tell that they were going to make a HUGE difference. I could barely feel any pressure on the ball of my foot. They are firm, yet yielding. They feel very cushy and seem to spring back instantly between steps. The problem with these is that they DO take up quite a bit of room in your shoe, so I would only suggest them in a shoe that is either a bit too large to begin with, or which has a good amount of stretch to them. For me they worked quite well, however, as I thought I would have to add heel grips to keep my foot from sliding out but now I won't have to, because of their volume. And as with the other reviews of some Spenco RX insoles, I agree the odor is a bit offensive, but I think you'd only find it intolerable if you're the type of person who is sensitive to odors in general. They smell almost like 'new car' to me- not my favorite smell, but not horribly overpowering either.

Just a tip as there are no directions: When inserting them into the shoe, it seems the wider, more rounded part goes toward the toe area. The smaller straight side should be parallel to the back of heel.

2was not pleased with the Spenco pads  Oct 13, 2011 By larjan
I wasn't real pleased with these pads. There were no instructions as to how they were to be inserted in the shoe and in fact I felt the pain in my foot was worse. When I took my 4 mile walk, I had to stop twice, once to adjust the pad and after about 3 miles, had to finally remove the pad. Very disappointed, especially after reading other reviews from people that loved them. As for me, I would never buy them again.

40.5 inches of padding, for better or worse  Jan 11, 2012 By blueplatespecial "blueplatespecial"
Unlike some other ball-of-foot pads out there, these definitely stay in place! There's no slipping or sliding once they're in my shoe. Moreover, the cloth-like lining on top doesn't "squeak" when my feet start to get damp at the end of the day. Both of these are huge pluses in my book.

Unfortunately, the biggest "plus" for these pads is also their biggest "minus": the medium sized pad measures 0.5 inches (1.25 cm) thick! This makes for a spectacularly comfortable walking surface, but an almost-unusable pad. 0.5 inches is way too high all of my heels (they were so tight that I lost circulation in my toes), and could only fit (barely) in one pair of flats. I wish I could add this kind of padding to all my shoes, but it's not very useful if it only fits in the pair that I never wear.
