For all of you who are disappointed with Gore-Tex "water-proofing", Sno-Seal seems to be the answer. I treated all my boots and so far, so good. Sno_Seal was easy to use: heat clean boots with a hair dryer, apply with a cloth, then I hit them with the hair dryer again to melt the Sno-Seal into the seams. I buffed them with another cloth. The darkening of the leather was rather attractive and very even. The only question is how long the boots will remain water-proof as I use them.
