Help for hurting feet Sep 19, 2011
By Shopper in Anaheim I have high arched feet & these orthotics have greatly relieved my foot pain. I will purchase more when my current pair wear out.
something that works Jan 16, 2012

I love to walk. I have three very active dogs, so I'm outside, on my feet one to two hours a day. I also have high arches and the combination of activity and anatomy leads to a lot of chronic heel pain. I've had physician prescribed orthotics, but they stopped working and are very expensive.
I've tried a number of over the counter fixes, stretching exercises, rest days, avoiding barefoot walking, etc, but the pain eventually comes back. This product is the first I've discovered that eliminates the heel pain for me.
To be fair, I did pair the product with a fresh pair of New Balance walking shoes with a last that has helped with heel pain previously. But the combo of this product and the new shoes seems much better than just the shoe with my prescription orthotic.
I'll update this after I've used it for a while, but day one was great.

Good pre-made solution Jul 10, 2011
By Wayne If you have foot problems, it's always best to see a qualified podiatrist. Your doctor can determine the exact nature of your problem and tell you the best solution. Your doctor will also be more than happy to have a custom set of orthotics made for you if necessary.
My son's doctor thought that custom orthotics might not be necessary and recommended this (and only this) particular brand to try first. My son has been using them for several years now, and won't be without them. His feet are more comfortable and there are no indications that he needs a custom solution.
I can't say whether these will work for you and it's still best to see a good podiatrist, but for the price, you are getting a lot compared to what custom orthotics cost. The plastic arch component far outlasted what an active teenager could throw at it, even when the rest of the material was worn through. They outlasted several pairs of shoes, which had been worn almost through. I'm surprised that this is only his second set.
