Much cheaper than the shoe store version and worked great for the winter boots this year. I like the plastic pouch to keep it in and put it right next to the boots for next winter.

We are very happy with the Suede and Nubuck kit. My husband had picked up some mystery spots on his nubuck loafters. The spots were bad enough that he was embarassed to wear the shoes, despite them being his favorite pair. The cleaning kit did the trick! Very effective and very good value. He's back in business!

I used the cleaner on my brown suede jacket. There was NO color change, and it lifted the stain out quite easily with the included brush. The protector takes many, many coats but does eventually repel water a bit but did NOT change the color of the suede. It really wouldn't be practical for coats or boots in the snow or heavy rain. Light flakes and sprinkles should not be an issue after two coats of the protector. You do have to use a LOT in order for it to finally REPEL liquid. I would suggest getting several bottles of the protector along with this kit in order to have enough if you have more than one coat and one pair of boots. I have many pairs of suede boots, knee-high, booties, etc., and there simply wasn't enough to go around with one can. -Amanda

A side note: this is a chemical - use it in a well ventilated area or suffer choking on the fumes. Seriously, it is strong while being applied. After it dries, no smell is detected on the material.

I bought this kit to clean and protect my Dickies Suede Boots. I get scuff marks on my boots from the pedals in my car. This kit cleaned about 70% of the scuff marks off but not totally. That's why I didn't give it a five star rating. As for protecting Suede... it limited getting more of those scuff marks. You'll like that this kit comes with a lot of stuff but that's about it.
