Good Product but Overpriced Nov 13, 2009
By Cortnie Alford This kit is as described, and slightly overpriced. The wooden valet is very nice. Be aware if purchasing as a gift, the kit is not shipped in an extra box, but in it's original, so everyone can see what the box is!

Solid Kit Mar 30, 2010
By John Smith I'm very happy with this product. I've had no problems so far...
When I received the kit I noticed it was really light. However I think this has to do with merely the type of wood. The box seems very sturdy for resting your foot on and the horse hair brushes seem to be sturdy quality. I like Kiwi's polish and the polish in this set both black and brown don't disappoint.
All around a solid set that is worth the money.

Nice products inside, poor construction on box Jan 11, 2010
By Hank I bought this gift for my father, becuase he wanted an orginal shoe shine kit. The KIWI products included in the show box are nice but not worth the cost of this product. The reason I rated this product a three is directly related to the poor construction of the shoe box : the screws were loose, and the gold plate which opens and shuts the box looked cheap, and the box is small is not practicul to rest your foot on it while shining someones shoes - the shoe box is really for display.
Pure JUNK!?! Mar 29, 2010
By M. H. I bought this because I wanted a shoe shine box like my dad used to have in his closet. The first time I opened the box, the screws attaching the hinges to the lid FELL OUT!?! Now the box doesn't even stay shut - the lid just sits on top and slides around. What a piece of junk. Don't waste the money - a cardboard box would be a lot sturdier!

Shoe shine kit Jan 21, 2010
By Kathy J. Wells For Christmas this year my Son-In-Law said he wanted a shoe shine kit and I was happy those are easy. Or they use to be. You can't find them at department stores anymore you can get the pieces seperatley but not the wood box and that is sort of the whole idea. The only place I found them were on line and they ranged from size to types of wood to contents and cost. Amazon had the most kinds and prices but I chose the one from Kiwi because its a band I knew and trusted and it had everything a young guy learning to shine shoes needed. I say leaning because he thought you were suppose to leave the wax on the shoes he had never shined his shoes before funny huh. Its a lost art these days I told him I would teach him how to do it I could put a spit shine on the worst pair of boots for my husband when he was in the Army. I just think its a good thing to know how to do.
