I told my wife recently, after she bought me some new shoes, that I missed the Sunday mornings of my youth, before church, when my brothers and I all had to shine our shoes, using our dad's Kiwi polish and shoe brushes. So, she got me some shoe shine kit, I guess to make sure I had something to do. From a tactile, visual, and olfactory perspective, this brush and the polish bring it all back. And not just the memories. Taking care of your shoes is a good thing(tm). Watching the shine of the leather come back is a very satisfying experience. This brush is a big part of it. But remember, it ain't magic. This work is a labor of love, and the brushes require elbow grease to work, all of which reminded me of when I shined shoes in a golf clubhouse one summer at the age of 15; that is a less wistful memory. Still, these brushes are well made and cheap. How often do you get to say that any more?.

The Kiwi brush is exceedingly well made. Genuine horse hair -- with a wooden handle ergonomically designed to easily fit both men's and women's hands. It's very convenient to keep atop a dresser or carry in a traveling bag. Tough and durable, it's perfect for non-shine suede type shoes. You can remove grime or dust from your shoes in just seconds. It's also good for "spiffing up" shined shoes. A few swipes and your shined shoes are back in business and ready for a new day. Kiwi products have stood the test of time and the Kiwi shoe brush is a designed to last long. Highly recommended.

I purchased this item as a way to clean and condition my suede winter boots. The bristles are gentle and helped keep my boots in great shape after the harsh snow and salt.

This is an excellent product - I had some really dusty dirty shoes that I was going to toss - instead I decided to try this product and now I don't have to toss anything. It doesn't scratch any type of shoe - from leather to generic material. I highly recommend this product.
